Wedding: The Peach Party

28 Jan

With the new year comes, new colors, styles and trends will follow and set for 2014 wedding. But you ain’t a follower for YOUR wedding. You shall be the creator, the decision maker and to be able to love that day for the entire lifetime.

Especially in the ever-changing world of weddings styling, one has to stay true to the style that best depicts their wedding. Especially their love.

Not forgetting, getting married in Singapore can be costly but listen to your wallet. Don’t splurge and be in debt. No love can blossom further in a sea of debts. And each and every wedding can look pretty even without the costly indulgent.

Agnes & Maurice 2 cents worth advice.

Just the other day I was thinking with Maurice, if ever we host a wedding anniversary party, what colour theme we going to have? Although it was just a thought, immediately we got down to work and here’s what we have crafted.

Crayon orange, salmon and apricot and light salmon. We love how well these colours go together!

Our “UP” inspired guestbook. It’s our forever keepsake.

Have we mention our love on wooden crates? We find them perfectly versatile for styling. Crates can be used to fully utilise empty space or can be used to stack and create more shelving for displaying of photo and etc. Imagination is endless!

What do you think of this? Do share with us if you have any other ideas! We love sharing!

Wedding: Green With Envy Wedding Styling

25 Jan

New year, new resolution. We can’t believe but yes, I’m setting blogging frequently as one of the new year resolution. Even Maurice thinks it’s impossible. I can’t help it but since the DIY side of me has so much ideas, crafted many but not sharing the content for the brides and grooms to be, I feel guilty.

Guilty as charged. Agnes should learn to manage her time and blog more often. Not sharing is selfish!

You know how wedding can be less expensive and yet appear meticulously crafted, just like you have hired a full time wedding stylist to craft every single details into perfection? And it doesn’t take a genius as well all your precious time.

I mean of course, before you start, you need to know what is your preferred colours and wedding theme. A little research is needed but you don’t have to be an artist.

Gave it a name called the Green with Envy Wedding. For couple who loves all green and girly, here’s an inspiration for you!

In case you are wondering what’s that dried flower I had as display. That is Baby’s Breath. It is my fixed floral around the house. Be it fresh or dried, who doesn’t them. Plus point, they look gorgeous even in a simple plain jar. Not forgetting, they are one of the least expensive flower!

If you are not a fan of white florals, in my mom’s words, it’s called a funeral. Well, you can always spray paint them pretty! I thought gold will be a perfect idea but well, I do like my flowers white!

We have more the other colour themes coming up! Do keep a look-out!

Have a good weekend!

Agnes

Crafts: DIY “UP” Wedding Guest Book

25 Jun

Guest book inspired by the lovely movie “UP” by Pixar. I drew it using Freehand, please don’t remind me how old school that software is! We love unique guest book that is custom and one that can be used as display even after the wedding! Let’s imagine having this lovely piece hang up in our future home together. It would be lovely, isn’t it.

We would love to share this free printable “Up” guestbook with you, just drop us an email at hello[at]chapelic[dot]com.

You can have the guests to sign their name or leave their thumb-print. Then frame it up as a work of art that will be a lovely reminder of your wedding celebration.

Crafts: Wedding Must-have Seating Place Card

19 Jun

Seating place card. You know how the guest will eventually forget where they sit after mingling around before the dinner starts. A seating place card will comes in handy to remind them and even find friends that will be seated with them prior to dinner! We just love how to keep our guest comfortable and organized! I have designed my own set of Seating Place Card to accentuate our wedding theme.

I think a seating place cards are really a necessity. It will ensure that the wedding guests are seated at the right table and have the appropriate meals (example, vegetarian or halal).

A common yet easy way is to issue them with the seating place card when they register themselves at the reception.

Here’s some lovely inspiration we found via Pinterest. Oh my, have we ever told you how much we love Pinterest!
