Crafts: Wedding Must-have Seating Place Card

19 Jun

Seating place card. You know how the guest will eventually forget where they sit after mingling around before the dinner starts. A seating place card will comes in handy to remind them and even find friends that will be seated with them prior to dinner! We just love how to keep our guest comfortable and organized! I have designed my own set of Seating Place Card to accentuate our wedding theme.

I think a seating place cards are really a necessity. It will ensure that the wedding guests are seated at the right table and have the appropriate meals (example, vegetarian or halal).

A common yet easy way is to issue them with the seating place card when they register themselves at the reception.

Here’s some lovely inspiration we found via Pinterest. Oh my, have we ever told you how much we love Pinterest!

The Wedding Diary: The first baby step

2 Mar

Hello to the World! Here comes our first post and oh, I’m lost in my own thoughts. I guess, a little tidy up will do. Alright so the first topic I would like to talk on is, taking the first baby step to wedding planning.

I know planning a wedding can be chaotic and frustrating if you don’t have a plan, or a step-by-step process flow. It was annoyingly frustrating for me then as I find there’s too many nitty-gritty details and I had a crazily long to-do-list. So I reprocessed the whole thing and came out with 8 baby steps to guide me along. 1. Mood Board – 2. Locations (indoor or outdoor) –  3. Wedding Budget – 4. Bridal boutique – 5. Wedding banquet venue – 6. The chinese customs and traditions – 7. Planning itinerary & actual day programs – 8. The Wedding Helpers

The 8 baby steps are crucial to planning a wedding in Singapore and now, together with me, let’s start off with the first baby step — Mood Board. A mood board is one of the best ways to filter your ideas and give a voice to what trapped inside of your head. It is also a great way to convey your design idea to your friends, the wedding photographers and everyone else that was involved in your wedding! Moreover, it’s easy, fun, and doesn’t cost a penny.

Can you guess what was the theme, the colors and moods? The answer is, a garden-like party filled with sweet pastels. The white, cream, blush and peach. It depicts a sweet, casual, relaxed and romantic affair.

I love Gypsophila, commonly known as Baby’s breath, it is not only adorable but affordable. It’s botanical name means “lover of chalk”. Will share more ideas on how to use this airy, cloud-like panicles of tiny white flowers to decorate in the next post.

My paper crafts love can also be felt in the mood board as I filled it with paper dollies, rosettes and garlands. Add a little cheese with those balloons.

SO! There you have it – you have been officially introduced to Agnes & Maurice Wedding Peparation step 1! We hope you enjoyed reading our post.

Till then!
