Crafts: Peach Petal Flower Topiary Balls

One thing I hate about plants and flowers is that it withers in days. To think that they are rather expensive and have a really short life-span, it just doesn’t make sense to the practical me.

Well I guess a paper made topiary balls would solve all the problems! At least it will never wither and die, neither attracts little creatures. With Christmas around the corner, I think making a Christmas-ty filled flower topiary balls as personalised gift will be a perfect idea!

[Update] So we did make Christmas topiary ball as a personalised gift!

Crafts: The Mr love Mrs Rustic Burlap Banner

Despite MR love MRS is one classic and non-fanciful line used for weddings, this is our first time crafting it for the rustic burlap banner! Finally someone requested for it!

For my first year anniversary, maybe I should make a MR and MRS TANRI rustic burlap banner and do a garden themed anniversary party.

Wedding: ❤LOVE❤ Burlap (Jute) Flag Bunting

We haven’t made a burlap flag bunting for awhile till a bride requested for it. It certainly brings back good memories! We made that last year for our pre-wedding shoot at Jakarta, Indonesia.

Fond memories and we had great time making while reminiscing as this was actually one of the first crafts I tried when I started Agnes & Maurice Wedding’s Preparation!

Wedding: Custom Request Birthday Banner

As you can tell, recently I’ve been enjoying fulfilling those custom requests. On top of that, I’m even happier that I do get request beyond wedding!

On a side note, these dollies trimmed tags will definitely look awesome as a wedding banner too!

Wedding: New Additions to Agnes Maurice Weddingkits Etsy

Hola! We are pleased to announce we have added a new additional to our trove of wedding decoration goodies!

That’s lovely tissue rosettes garland. Did we mention it’s recyclable? If you keep it properly after your event, it can be re-use for other event, like birthday party or even house-warming!

I’m in love with the black and white polka dots backdrop. In case you are wondering where I get it from, you can get it from People Complex, Chinatown. It houses many fabrics and you will be spoilt with choices!

It’s tad easy to make it a garland, you just have to attach the side together with the white paper clips we provided together with the tissue rosette/ tissue fan!

I called the yellow rosettes as sunshine while the orange as the sunset. Definitely, it has injects vibrance to my room!

Wedding: Custom Order for Ven Chun & Vivien

It’s no secret that we love custom order request here at the Agnes & Maurice Weddingkits. Whenever there’s an email coming in requesting for personalised and customised wedding crafts, it gives me butterflies in the stomach! It gets me so excited, I do get breathless!

Ven Chun and Vivien’s wedding has a very soothing and beautiful colour palette. A wedding filled with pink, magenta, salmon, gold and little glitter.

Vivien wrote in requesting for their customised burlap bunting pennant banner that reads, VEN CHUN ❤ VIVIEN.

On top of that, Vivien also purchased our classic happily ever after burlap bunting pennant banner.

Heart symbol, ❤, in bold and daring red. Like a love burning in flaming passion. Doing wedding crafts for others’ wedding give me happiness.. and I wish nothing but the best for the couple!

I’m in love with the pink 8 inches honeycomb tissue ball. I realise I will always hang it around somewhere for my photo shoot. How I wish I can hold a garden shoot with hundreds of these pretty tissue balls invading the entire garden. I wish.

Apart from the usual rosettes, Vivien engagaed me to customise her confetti pack!

Wedding: Ava’s Bridal Make-Up & Hair-do

I promise to share so here’s a recommendation!

A little bit classic, a little bit modern. All emphasize on the eyes.

The secret is in the eye. Showcase the beauty to everybody! You know, I can keep going on and on talking about the eyes but I shall not. Heh.

They say, make-up is a transformation. I simply have to agree. A good make-up can transform a plain jane to into a cover girl. It can enhances features and covers blemishes.

Ava proves her amazing skill with obvious before-and-after photographs.

The Wedding Diary: More and more crafts Throwback

As mentioned in The Wedding Diary: So Many Crafts, So Little Time, Maurice and I spent hours creating all the decorations for our wedding. It was time & energy consuming but we still had so much fun! Every little details were so important to us, and so far, we are pleased with how everything turns out and look like!

In western countries, couple would hand-make personalize wedding favor for guest for keep. A token of appreciation / souvenir. In Singapore, if you are hosting a wedding in a hotel, there’s no need for that as the wedding banquet package comes with it. And you get to choose from the range of wedding favor provided by the hotel. However, I insisted to hand craft a personalize sweets grab pack for the guest. It doesn’t hurt to provide some sweet stuffs for your guest as it’s a norm in Singapore to have it’s dinner delayed! Some guests tend to arrive fashionably late which delayed the start of dinner.

These mini paper bags are the simplest way to provide favors for your guest, and there’s many ways you can dress them up to match your deco and theme of wedding! Otherwise, you can make mini cardboard boxes. If you want to get extra crafty, you can add some handmade rosette and a “Thank You” tag!

Seating place card. You know how the guest will eventually forget where they sit after mingling around before the dinner starts. A seating place card will comes in handy to remain them and even find friends that will be seated with them prior to dinner! We just love how to keep our guest comfortable and organized!

Decoration Props: Alphabet Letter. We will have these letters sitting on the reception area, the ang-bao (chinese custom red packets) box, and also at the pre-wedding photo album display table.

The Wedding Diary: Make-Up Artist (MUA)

Your wedding day is the time to be in the spotlight, so don’t let your makeup be ordinary. Like your everyday to work with false lashies and eyeliner. It’s the day you want a bit of oomph and a shiny cherry lip.

That’s what I thought when I was looking for Make Up Artist for my wedding hence, I ditched the basic MUA from the bridal package and opt for à la carte from Indonesia.

Indonesia wedding make-up emphasises a lot on the eye.  The eyes are the window to the soul. It’s the most important feature to set on face for a good photo.

Even in black and white, the eyes still looked sharp. That’s the magic.

Wedding videography documents a wedding on video and it keeps your memories alive! How true.

Honestly, that day was so busy and exciting and tiring and emotional .. (101 adjectives to describe that day) We tend to miss out the finer details till we saw our wedding video.
